Frankenmuth Local

Hunts, passes & free fun

Play your way around town

Frankenmuth has a handful of free scavenger hunts and passes that send you all over town, and most of them end with a prize at the Visitor Center. Here's how each one works.

The Frankenmuth Gnome Hunt

Free, all ages. More than 40 little gnomes are hiding inside local businesses. Each one sits next to a card with a four-digit code. Find 15 and take your finds to the Visitor Center (635 S. Main St.) for a Gnome Hunt prize.
  • On your phone: scan the QR code posted in a participating business to sign up, then enter each gnome's code as you find it.
  • On paper: pick up a guide with a gnome map at the Visitor Center and write down each code or gnome name.
It's run by the Frankenmuth Convention & Visitors Bureau. Get the latest at frankenmuth.org.

Tip: it pairs well with a walk down Main Street, and kids love it.
